Weather, Climate, and a Big Storm- Grades 4-6

This event is no longer on sale.

Monday October 19

1:30 PM  –  3:00 PM

FLASH! Goes lightning as it streaks through the sky.

BOOM! Goes the thunder moments later.

Why do these two weather phenomena happen together? Science gives us the answers.

Join our science educators as they create miniature weather phenomena, explore the differences between weather and climate, and play a game in which you make decisions based on the daily movement of an approaching hurricane.

After the workshop, continue the learning at home with hands-on weather related activities that can be done at your own pace.
